Will it be part of regular libfprint in the future?

Hi. I just wanted to ask like what is the reason this driver is not part of libfprint? Is it experimental driver or is it like fully working one?

The reason is that the devices that this driver handles only work well with the sigfm algorithm that is still out of tree. Before sigfm is supported upstream, this driver will remain out of tree as well. As for the state of driver itself, it's supposed to work well, at least with known devices that are handled by default. If there's some problem with the driver code or there's another (similar) Chipsailing device that is unsupported, it should be reported in issues.
