buffer stops working

I love the buffer, it's a really cool machine.
But somehow it sometimes stops functioning, and it will only work again after re-opening the patch.

I know about this issue since the realease but I couldn't get why and I felt like publishing it anyway. I think the whole module needs rewriting, using proper circular buffers classes and stuff (things I didn't know about when approaching Rack).
Generally the whole pack needs lot of work I guess, I'm diving in it next weekend I hope!
