How to "Set up your web server to point to the directory where those files are residing." ?

Hi,

I have discovered Cappuccino some weeks ago no, and I am playing around with it to see what are it's capabilities and whether I can use it in the project I have in mind. So far things are looking good.

One of the features I am now testing is the CUP-framework. Nevertheless I am not successful in using the framework. In the installation guide on the wiki the 4th and final step is described as "Set up your web server to point to the directory where those files are residing.".

Maybe it is my limited knowledge of PHP-server setup, but I do not understand what this actually means in practice, and therefore things are not uploading. Can anyone give me a clue?

The installation guide is talking about installing the PHP server side component responsible for receiving the uploaded files.

I think how to configure the server is a little outside of the scope of the framework but the PHP installation documentation is probably a good start.

Basically you are taking the server side app that the wiki mentioned, you configure it and the you configure your web server to serve that app (that's what the guide talks about when it says to 'point your web server to the directory').
