I just found this repo coming from a blog post. Given that you already have GeoPandas, I would be curious whether there's interest in also having a Julia version of these benchmarks. We could just be a.jl file and a JuliaProject.toml. And if there's interest, I could certainly look at adding that.

We have (Geo)Parquet IO in Julia already, so really it just needs a bit of optimization in GeometryOps (specifically, an optimized is-within-distance query) to be performant.
