https://github.com/apache/datafusion could really benefit from this commit 3b202c5 from a a month and a half ago.

There are no specific dates. Whenever someone asks for a release. As you just did! :-)
@gabotechs Didn't you move to arrow-avro yet? I thought this is the plan.

@Kriskras99 Feel free to merge #259 and #260!

I will also merge #293 and take a look at the flag/feature for disabling the validation.

Once those are done we could vote on 0.21!

It looks like we are still on this crate https://github.com/apache/datafusion/blob/c6ad17cf2b604513d37c2a208b7891061419ba15/Cargo.toml#L93. I have not a lot of context on this though, we mainly were just bitten by a conflict between xz2 and libzma being in the same Cargo workspace.

@martin-g if you review and merge (if you approve!) #325, I think we're ready for a vote on 0.21.
There is nothing else that I'm aware that should still be merged/written.
