Query on ECC Functionality in Rowhammer-Tester Memory Controller

Hi there,

Does the memory controller utilized by the Rowhammer-Tester perform ECC checks when reading from DRAM? If so, is there an option to enable or disable this feature?

Hi @biecho,
Querying the ECC is not a supported feature in Rowhammer Tester as of now.
Provided the memory module comes with the on-die ECC support, this could be achieved by interfacing with the appropriate Mode Registers.
It should be possible to issue single queries with sdram_mr_read and sdram_mr_write bios commands.
Otherise, we're currently working on adding the support for issuing MRR/MRW commands during Rowhammer Tester runtime via Payload Executor, from which point the ECC query could be more efficiently optimized.

If you're after the in-flight ECC, the DDR5 Tester HW has the ECC signals connected to the FPGA, but the current FPGA design itself doesn't use them.
