Ideas on future bluetooth usecases

For now, bluetooth measurements aren't very useful.

Due to the bluetooth protocol requiring less broadcasts (and broadcasting only in visible mode), bluetooth measurements only sees 4 devices when the wifi measures more than 30.

We tried with different bluetooth dongle, it doesn't seem to change anything.

Anyway, we thought of two possible future use cases for a bluetooth 4.0 dongle on the sensor:

• Modules: It allows to add some external modules, such as a weather stations for example, talking with the main sensor on bluetooth, without any physical changes on the main sensor.
• IBeacon/Eddystone: IBeacon is a technology created by Apple using bluetooth 4.0. A IBeacon device is just a device broadcasting often on bluetooth (with a specific protocol). Every phone since Android 4.4 and the iphone 4S can be turned into a beacon. If a mobile native application is created for 6element, it could turn the mobile into a beacon when near of a recycling center, allowing us to measure it efficiently.

A third use case could be that the sensors broadcast constantly a beacon packet and once our native app catches it, it can send something to the server saying the user is near the sensor.
