Is it possible to create a generic event type, generated by a specific message received?
for example:

platform: event
event_type: myhome_general
event_data:
message: '*1*0*0##'

I'd like to manage the doorbell message. The doorbell generates a code on the bus. I'd like to intercept it, link it to an event, and manage it in HA, like a mobile notification. I don't remember the exact code that is generated but it could be generalized for any message.

Do you know what code is sent on the bus? I've never found it.
I think that it's possibile to catch the event but we need to modify OWNd libray

I have a Bticino 342560 doorbell connected to the SCS bus. When I ring the bell, I receive the following 2 messages:

*8*1#1#4#21*4##
*8*9#1#4*20##

Since I found the ability to send a message to open the gate very useful:

  message: "*6*10*4000##"
  action: myhome.send_message
  alias: Sequenza cancelletto
  description: ""

I thought it would be useful for everyone to be able to detect a generic message to trigger a generic event.

can I ask how your Sfera intercom is connected to the SCS bus? I have a Linea 3000 and it's on a two-wire bus, but it's not connected to the home automation bus. Both buses connect to the 7-inch Hometouch, which serves as the intercom.

I'm not 100% sure, but since I have 3 video intercom panels (MH4893, 344612, and 349313), they installed an F441 to divert the signals. The F441 is connected to the SCS bus, and I'm probably getting the signals from there.

Maybe you have the ref F422. SCS bus-coupler

Normally you can’t have video and domotic on the same bus.

Unfortunately, I bought my house with a pre-installed home automation system. Little by little, I'm understanding how my system works. I thought these messages I'm receiving weren't from the button, but rather related to the doorbell ringing. However, when I try to execute them, nothing happens. That's why I asked if it's possible to use generic messages rather than figuring out who performs who.

Can you try this @wave68runner : go to development tools, events, list to events (I don't know the exact translation, my instance is in french).
Then you can subscribe to events like "myhome_cen_event", click start listening. In that case, when you press a push button, you will see the event and associated data. You can use that in automation.

I'm using it to trigger automation with classic bticino push buttons
=> Trigger is manual event, event type "myhome_cen_event"
=> Data is a copy past of what I got in the dev tools :
