How do I get calls to work with HURev?

Hello, I am currently using the latest release of HURev, with latest wireless helper and it works like a charm. The time to connect is super fast.

However, I cannot seem to listen to my network or whatsapp (VOIP) calls over wireless AA with HURev.

Do I HAVE to connect Bluetooth with my car's aftermarket headunit?

The reason it is off is because it causes audio playback to stutter and stop immediately after playing it.

Scenario:

1. Bluetooth is connected, HURev is connected.
2. You press play on media on AA interface
3. The media plays for a while, then stops. Once this happens, music stops immediately if play button is pressed again.

Is there a way to enable call audio over AA protocol? Or is call audio treated as a separate stream and isolated from AA directly connecting with Bluetooth?

Hey, I have connected my phone to the default car bluetooth and not the headunit itself. And Everything with music playback, microphone etc works. If you don't have bt connected it should also work over AA. Can you do it again and share logs? I may can see what is going on.

Hmmm, my car is older... It didn't not have bluetooth originally. Only an FM and CD player. I replaced the infotainment system with an android head unit, so that's the only bluetooth i have.

If you don't have bluetooth connected, Android Auto will by default run the call through your phone as if it weren't connected. You can access the call in AA though and change between the phone and speakerphone, but cannot output the call through the car at all without bluetooth.

Best solution I can think of would be using a Bluetooth FM transmitter to bypass AA's requirement of bluetooth for calls
