I've implemented this as a new connection mode "Wireless Helper via Hotspot" (mode 3) based on the beta-2.1.1 branch. |

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with LTE only allows enabling the mobile hotspot when WiFi is turned off. This is a system-level restriction on this device.
I'd like to use WiFi Helper to let my other devices automatically find and connect to the tablet's hotspot. However, WiFi Helper requires WiFi to be enabled, even when the selected connection method is hotspot-based. Since my tablet cannot have both WiFi and hotspot active at the same time, I'm unable to use WiFi Helper at all in this scenario.
Feature Request
Please remove the requirement for WiFi to be enabled when the connection method in WiFi Helper is set to hotspot. The app should be able to manage and broadcast the hotspot connection independently of the device's WiFi state.
Use Case
This is a common setup for car-mounted tablets that act as a mobile hotspot via their LTE connection. In this scenario, WiFi is never used on the host device — it only provides connectivity to other devices through its hotspot.
Thanks for considering this!
