Should we normalize PIs and store in a separate table? Users would need only choose a PI instead of filling it out in this case.
The question is then, how do we validate PIs? Do we require them to be manually entered by staff? Can they sign up themselves? Are the created automatically when a user submits, asking the owner of the email address only to confirm the user has the right to submit under their lab?
