Ability to scale images

Images appear smaller in orgro than their native size even when max width is not mentioned (with #+attr_html: :width 500px)

What is the "native size"? Images are shown scaled appropriately for the screen's pixel ratio. #+attr_*: directives are currently ignored.

By native size i meant the original size of the image.

Sometimes the images are displayed a lot smaller than they could be
For example (left one is a screenshot , right one is illustration)

I originally thought a per image slider to adjust the scale of the image would be nice but way simpler and more effective solution would be to just ensure that the image is displayed as big as possible.

What is "the original size" of the image?

A modern screen has extremely tiny physical pixels, and much larger logical pixels. For instance an iPhone 16 Pro screen is 1179x2556 physical pixels, but only 393x852 logical pixels.

If your image is 600x200px, or whatever, do you expect that that is double the width of the screen? Probably not. So Orgro displays it as 600x200 physical pixels; in the case of an iPhone 16 Pro the density is 3x, so that would be 200x67 logical pixels.

That is the case for your specific images, but I can't assume that for all images. For instance you can have inline images that need to flow with the text, etc.

Would it not be possible to detect whether an image is being used inline or not, and adjust the scaling accordingly. Scaling non-inline images to be as large as possible, while rendering inline images as they are being rendered currently?

Or maybe add a image scale slider?

Currently most images are drawn too small to read comfortably, so some kind of scaling adjustment would be really helpful.

Org Markup is ambiguous on this point, so this would rely on heuristics that might be expensive to calculate. I will have to investigate this.

Being able to choose how images are scaled, or a heuristic to treat inline images differently from block images would both be valid feature requests, so I'll keep this issue open. But I'm not planning on working on this any time soon.
