Kernel died

Hello,
When I am using the code "from pyopscale.opscale import OpScale" to use optimal scaling in python in jupyter notebook, I am receiving an error mentioning Kernel died. Does any one know how can I fix this problem?
I installed R and the required packages beforehead.

This looks like an rpy2 problem, which is the Python library used to communicate with R. What happens if you try the following in ipython/Jupyter Notebook %load_ext rpy2.ipython or this import rpy2.robjects as robjects? Does the kernel die for those too? What about if you use a basic Python prompt, outside of Jupyter Notebook?

I see some results that might be relevant if you Google "rpy2 dead kernel", worth taking a look through those.

Thank you for your time and suggestions.
I tried both %load_ext rpy2.ipython and import rpy2.robjects as objects, in both cases I received the same error of dead kernel. Do you have any suggestions?
