We’ve just released OpenTimeTracker v1.0.0-alpha.4 🎉
This is a pre-release, but it’s a big milestone for the project.

🔄 Automatic Update System

OpenTimeTracker now supports automatic updates via electron-updater.

What’s included:

• UpdateManager in the Electron main process
• Secure IPC communication between main and renderer
• Angular UpdateService with reactive state management
• Update dialog with:
  • update availability
  • download progress
  • release notes
• New Settings → Updates page
• App version exposed via IPC
• Full TypeScript typings
• Complete i18n support (English & Spanish)

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Fixed large project names breaking cards and modals (thanks @nicodevvv 🙌)
• Added noopener and noreferrer to window.open calls for better security

📚 Documentation

• Clarified README scope and development instructions
• Added a full SonarQube setup guide with wizard steps

🧪 Tests

• Unit tests for update handling
• Mocked UpdateService in existing tests
• New test suites for:
  • UpdateManager
  • IPC handlers
  • UpdateService
  • Update dialog

⚙️ Build & Config

• Version bump: 1.0.0-alpha.3 → 1.0.0-alpha.4
• Added electron-updater and @electron/rebuild
• Updated dependencies
