Login: sometimes I am redirected to broken URLS

So far I have been redirected to http://{last_page_visited}/, when I try to sign in with Twitter I am redirected to http://alistapart.com/{last_page_visited} or http://alistapart.com/{last_page_visited}#_=_ if I try to sign in with facebook. Clearing cookies resolves this.
