why the [ ] are skipped?

Hi, sometimes i have to add four normal spaces(tow  ) to the beginning of the paragraph, but the   are skipped, please tell me how to make it work ? Thanks~

I delete the code map of emsp in the nodebb-plugin-sanitizehtml/node_modules/sanitize-html/node_modules/htmlparser2/node_modules/entities/maps/entities.json, it's ok~

I guess I could switch all the non-breaking spaces back to their entity codes
