Check for Admin status

For example, you could allow Admins to use iframes.

Could also allow for Group-based permissions for this, but it's more work I think. Having the admin thing would be nice already.

I see, but that's not currently possible given that both filter hooks, filter:post.parse and filter:post.parseSignature are not aware of which user is requesting the data - no we cannot detect the user's level, if admin, moderator or not.

However, right now, these hooks are called when each post is requested, I think we could sanitize on the way in, this way we would know who is user creating the post, if admin, allow iframe for example, then on the way out, we would not touch the content.

so bottom line, that would need a NodeBB core change, you can request that on the community, if the hooks are introduced, or at least accepted by the core team, I can write them up my self and change the plugin to do what you want it to.

Unless, of course, there is some other solution that the core team might know of, then sure, I would work with that as well, so if you can do the leg work of finding out, I am happy to change this plugin or even create a PR to NodeBB core if needed.
