Update: running in RStudio with R 3.5.1 avoids this bug (parsing is still slow).

Removing from the 1.0 milestone. The bug mentioned here is unverified, and likely to do with shinyFiles itself. Additionally, modifying the traversal of all directories is an optimization and seems internal to shinyFiles.
