THI coloration in calendar

For improvement in livestock management and watch, is it possible to add a coloration of the THI parameter in the calendar ?
##The value of the THI parameter is already linked to a colour in French research work (see the picture below), from light blue for low THI values to purple for high THI values, and could be an interesting add-on for farmers to help them manage their livestock while in pasture.

Thanks for raising this. The need behind the request makes sense: users should be able to quickly understand from the calendar whether the THI value shows normal conditions or possible heat stress.

The important point is that there are really two different things here:

• the THI value itself
• the alert or stress level that we understand from that value

Because of that, it would be better not to put the color directly on the THI observation itself.

A clearer approach would be:

• keep THI as the recorded observation
• create separate alert entries based on the THI range, each with its own color

For example:

• THI < 68 → absence of stress (light blue)
• THI 68–71 → light stress (yellow)
• THI 72–79 → moderate stress (orange)
• THI 80–89 → severe stress (red)
• THI 90–98 → very severe stress (purple)
• THI > 98 → extreme stress

This approach has a few advantages:

• it keeps the THI measurement and the warning level clearly separated
• it makes the calendar easier to understand
• later, users could filter the calendar to see only important alerts, such as severe or extreme stress
• it also leaves room for future cases where an alert may depend on more than THI alone

Hi @fedjo !

Your idea is better than what I thought! Through this solution we could improve the easiness of use of the calendar-tool, and we stil have the access to the THI values and the welfare level for the animals. If possible to add these levels according to the grid I sent, it would be perfect!
