Drop Facebook Login #358
Description
Over the past few months, we've tried and failed many times to renew our business verification with Facebook. A few weeks ago our Facebook app was disabled which broken login via Facebook in this app. The login with facebook button was removed at that time. There are currently 245 out of 4,650 (19%) registered users who have used Facebook to log into the application at least once. However, only one of those users have logged into the app over the past year. They last logged in on 4/4/2024.
In a meeting with DWR today, they said that they were good with permanently dropping the facebook login.
- delete facebook app and perhaps even the business since Steve set up a separate one for instagram
- delete all related code in front and back end
- update app store screen shots that show the button
- update tests that mention facebook
- update testing docs that mention using facebook login
- come up with a new way for app store reviewers to test logging into the app
