I'm wondering how users find their area of interest on the map. There's not a lot of options other than entering an address or panning and zooming which sounds terrible.

Would it be helpful to add a masquerade-powered search to the map as an expandable "🔍" icon? It would allow users to zoom the map to a specific location (e.g. city, county, place name) without automatically kicking off a search.

I don't want to add complexity where it's not necessary. What do you think, @rkelson?

It would be very similar. However, I think that it would be best as an expandable component on the map under the home button.
