After importing files I can't import again the new files in drive. There appears to be a issue with syncing. Do the files have to be in that synced activity folder?

What do you mean by "can't import again"? Do you see any errors?
Sorry but this app isn't working perfect yet (only for demo purpose). There are some minor issues.
Notably it can't remove files. But it should be possible to overwrite existing file by second import. To try that from scratch, look for app id in Google Drive, then you can find list of music files there so that you can delete them.
