Feature Request
First of all, congratulations — Blockstream App (mobile version) hasn't managed to include coin control for Liquid in 6 years, and you've achieved it in weeks. With coin control and labels already in place, Ibis already surpasses Blockstream App's functionality for Liquid. Impressive work.
Proposal
Three features that would make Ibis the definitive Liquid wallet:
1. Watch-only Liquid wallets
Being able to import an xpub/descriptor to monitor a Liquid wallet without having the keys on the device. Essential for cold storage setups and for users who want to monitor incoming payments without exposing signing keys.
2. Configurable gap limit
Some users receive Liquid payments via the Boltz plugin for Lightning, which can generate many unused addresses in sequence. Without a configurable gap limit, the wallet may not detect payments received on higher-index addresses. This is especially relevant for merchants and services receiving frequent L-BTC payments from Lightning swaps.
3. Jade hardware wallet support
If it were possible to sign Liquid transactions with Jade, combined with the coin control and labeling features you already have, it would be the most complete Liquid wallet available — surpassing Blockstream App in every meaningful way. We understand this may not be straightforward to implement, but wanted to flag it as a long-term goal.
Why this matters
Even though Liquid uses confidential transactions (amounts are hidden), input ownership heuristics still apply. Additionally, the swaps commonly used to move in and out of Liquid can correlate amounts, origin, and destination. Having coin control, labels, watch-only monitoring, proper gap limit, and hardware wallet security would give users the full toolkit to manage these risks properly.
