It is possible to have timestamp with UTC

Hi,

Would it be possible to have UTC timestamp?
It’s more absolute than LocalTime, and we chose to use UTC in the console, so it would be better to have UTC in the json file too.

Hi,

It's absolutely possible, the logger is highly customizable.

As a matter of fact, the CustomLogFormat sample gives you an idea, you just need to adapt it to JSON logging:

It works fine
I would have hope for an option in the appsettings.json between Local and UTC for example, but it’s ok like this.

Such an option is definitely something to consider. I'll leave the issue open and may implement this in the future. (Or a PR is welcome if you'd like to see this implemented sooner. ;)
