MacOS Screen & System Audio Recording Question

In MacOS, rift is asking to enable Screen & System Audio Recording. is this normal behaviour? It's concerning if it's not normal behaviour

it should only ask this if you try to invoke mission control. that is the only time any screen capture apis are used.

also, rift is open source so you can see for yourself. plus, macos will tell you if any app is actively recording your screen so you can tell when/if it happens.
