Hi,

I've been a user of tiling window manager for a long time now. (mostly on linux though)
Rift is awesome but for me it's missing two key features.

1. If https://github.com/acsandmann/rift/blob/main/assets/menubar.png could just display workspace numbers, to visualize which workspace have windows it would be cool.
2. Is there anyway to close a window through rift? Using something like skhd feels very clunky. Closing via rift would have the neat side effect that it would automatically trigger a re-org of the layout.

Are these things in scope / in interest for the project?

About 2: Is this in scope? If yes I might find the time to develop this feature as well, but I suspect that it won't take only half an hour for that.

these are both relatively trivial and definitely in scope. happy to hear that you are enjoying rift!

Good to know that closing windows should be trivial too. I will probably look into this in the next couple of days or on the weekend :)

@acsandmann Would a feature to launch applications also be in scope?
Basically something like https://nikitabobko.github.io/AeroSpace/commands#exec-and-forget
Imho this is one of the basic features most window managers support.
