change was achived by reducing navbar font-size to 1.4em and setting element to 50px from 100px, I think the element change is just something firefox showed me in the devtool and isn't actually in our css file,but in effect I reduced the height of the navbar by half.

removed underline in the navbar and added an on hover with the UMN gold #ffcc33 (mouse cursor not visible in screenshot)

I think this looks better, I tried to add it to the css of the website but sass hard

actually 40px looks even better, anything smaller and it looks too crowded.
