I need help getting --gapplication-service to work

I used to use walker on hyprland and it worked great. Recently I switched over to Cosmic DE and now the service refuses to stay open.

I am able to start the service with walker --gapplication-service, but the second, I close my walker menu, the service goes down with the following logs:

connecting to elephant...
waiting for elephant to start...
connected.
Gdk-Message: 13:48:41.165: Lost connection to Wayland compositor.

It happens even when I comment out my entire config file so I don't think it's a setting that I have, but possibly a conflict with something else on my system.

Puh... no idea. But this shouldn't be related to walker, but rather GTK4 + Cosmic, so it's best to ask those people.
