tvdb3 is not using absolute number when season number is provided

Expected Behavior

I have files named this way:
Detective Conan (1996) - S24E01 - 763 - Conan And Heiji Code Of Love Part 1 [ADN VOSTFR HDTV-1080p][10bit][x265][Opus 2.0].mkv
Detective Conan (1996) - S25E01 - 804 - Conan and Ebizos Kabuki Jūhachiban Mystery Part 1 [ADN VOSTFR HDTV-1080p][10bit][x265][Opus 2.0][JA].mkv

The show is configured as tvdb3, because I'd like seasons while keeping absolute number episodes.
I'd like to have Season folders assigned correctly, and episodes number as absolute.

Current Behavior

All those episodes are assigned to season 1 as long as "S{x}E{y}" is provided.
If I only set the absolute episode number, it works correctly. I cannot override this per show on Sonarr.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a Meitantei Conan folder with tvdb3-72454 mode
2. Have multiple files named:

• Detective Conan (1996) - S24E01 - 763 - Conan And Heiji Code Of Love Part 1 [ADN VOSTFR HDTV-1080p][10bit][x265][Opus 2.0].mkv
• Detective Conan (1996) - S25E01 - 804 - Conan and Ebizos Kabuki Jūhachiban Mystery Part 1 [ADN VOSTFR HDTV-1080p][10bit][x265][Opus 2.0][JA].mkv
  ...

I have tried using Season folders and flat structure, it does not change anything.

Double numbering has never been supported on ANY metadata based system yet alone Plex...

You should have put the informational sxxexx in square braquets

I understand, but is there a way to make tvdb3 working without absolute numbers in that case ? For some shows I like the tvdb3 format but I'd like to keep filenames consistent across animes.
Sonarr have troubles picking up episodes only by their absolute number, not to mention the necessity to have another instance to manage different naming scheme.

You chose to have two accessible numbering without putting one of them in square brakets.
Sonar nearly requires sxxexx to my knowledge
Tvdb3 is specific to absolute numbering
I have never seen double numbering and it is preposterous

The double numbering is mostly here for shows like Meitantei Conan/One Piece that are referred on absolute numbers (since "seasons" have a weird meaning for them).

The issue here is that Sonarr pretty much requires sxxexx while Hama in tvdb3 mode requires absolute numbering.
If tvdb3 was at least able to map sxxexx episodes it would alleviate a lot of those issues (by putting absolute number between brackets so parsers ignore them).

You coud use 'transparent' Ark folders.
You could remove word based numbering, keep regex numbering only but will not support this heresy.

I don't use any folders at all currently to "emulate" season 1 (Sonarr only either do Seasons folders according to TVDB or put all files "flat" without season folders).
What do you mean by regex numbering only ?

Edit the code and leave only the regex oart and write your own custom regex entry for your file format. I cannot do so in the main code as it would impact heavilky people following numbering format which is most users

But mapping the relative episode to its absolute is not just a matter of regex in the scanner ?

My goal is to remove the absolute numbering from filename since it cause issues and not supported to go back to a more "standard" setup (I don't want to break "standard" animes that works really well with ASS currently).
The only issue is that tvdb3 only works with absolute number now.

I think the "best" fix here is to make tvdb3 compatible with relative numbering so it can work for everybody who would just like to have absolute episode numbers in Plex mapped to their correct seasons).
