CAD or STEP files?

I wanted to modify the feet of the electronics enclosure for my Endorphin, but I found only STL files, and no STEP files, in this repository. I know that the Mercury One repository contains the full CAD including the enclosure, but this is quite confusing, as this is not explained anywhere.
