Light/Dark mode is not persistent with refresh page

When I turn on dark mode and refresh the page, the page goes back to light mode 💢

Steps to reproduce: 
* Open the website and turn on dark mode from the button on the top right 
* Refresh the page and observe the website is now back to light mode
