Shortly 2.4 isn't working with goo.gl

Shortly stopped working a few weeks ago with goo.gl
I am using the toolbar mode and shortening links with my google account. However if I uncheck the box then shortly works fine with the goo.gl preference.

I have the same problem (?):
NOT using my google-account, goo.gl works fine. However, I want to save the shortened links into my history for future reference, so I want to use my google account.

That however, does not work. It says "Service unavailable: undefined". I noticed that when authorizing Shortly, google shows this notice:
"We are unable to verify the name associated with this application because it runs on your computer, as opposed to on a website. We recommend you do not allow access unless you trust the application.
Important notice: OAuth1 for Google accounts is going away on April 20, 2015. Learn more."
where "Learn more" points to https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6140397
