Node.js 25 Compatibility Update

We've tested MeshMonitor against Node.js 25.6.0 and all 2521 unit tests pass. The code itself is fully compatible with Node 25.

The issue you're hitting on Raspbian baremetal is most likely the better-sqlite3 native module failing to load because it was compiled for a different Node.js major version. Here's how to fix it:

Steps to Resolve

1. Rebuild native modules for Node 25:

   cd /path/to/meshmonitor
   npm rebuild better-sqlite3

2. If that doesn't work, reinstall dependencies entirely:

   rm -rf node_modules
   npm install --legacy-peer-deps

   The --legacy-peer-deps flag is needed because npm 11 (bundled with Node 25) has stricter peer dependency resolution.

3. Verify the rebuild worked:

   node -e "require('better-sqlite3')"

   If this runs without errors, you're good.

Build Tools Required

On Raspbian, you'll need build tools installed to compile native modules:

sudo apt-get install -y python3 make gcc g++
