Is STM32F4 platform ready for use?
Why are there many errors after I compile according to the instructions?
The following problems are encountered here:

1. Some files do not exist.
2. Undeclared variables appear when compiling with arm-none-eabi-gcc13.
3. Some variables are not used after being declared.
4. Redefinition of macro definition, etc.

You're absolutely right - the STM32F4 platform is currently under active development and not yet ready for production use. We apologize for the confusion in our documentation.

Known Issues
The compilation errors you're encountering are expected because:
Missing platform implementation directory - platforms/stm32f4/ doesn't exist yet
Missing startup code - STM32F4-specific initialization and vector tables
Missing linker scripts - Memory layout definitions for STM32F407
Missing platform drivers - Hardware-specific HAL implementations

Our Plan
We're actively working on completing the STM32F4 platform. The implementation roadmap includes:

Phase 1: Core Platform Setup (In Progress)
Create platforms/stm32f4/ directory structure
Add startup code and system initialization
Add linker scripts for STM32F407VG
Integrate ST's CMSIS and HAL drivers

Phase 2: HAL Implementation
GPIO driver implementation
UART driver implementation
SPI driver implementation
I2C driver implementation
Timer/PWM driver implementation
ADC driver implementation

Phase 3: Testing & Validation
Hardware-in-the-loop testing on STM32F4 Discovery board
Example applications (blinky, UART echo, etc.)
Documentation and porting guide
