Custom Alias Names for Anchors

Hello,

I would like to request an enhancement to the Anchor feature in WindowTop to support custom alias names instead of relying solely on the original window title.

Use case:
We are preparing a set of event PCs for upcoming tradeshows where our team presents multiple product USPs. Each USP corresponds to a specific application window (e.g., a Simulink model, test interface, or dashboard). Anchors are an excellent way for event staff to quickly switch between these USP views while presenting.

However, the original application window titles are often technical and not meaningful for staff or visitors. Being able to assign custom anchor names or labels (e.g., “USP1 – Real-Time HIL”, “USP2 – Test Automation”) would make it much easier for presenters to reliably identify and activate the correct view.

Requested capability:

• Allow users to rename Anchors or assign custom alias names.

• Display these alias names in the Anchor list instead of (or in addition to) the underlying window title.

This feature would significantly improve clarity and efficiency when deploying WindowTop across 20+ event PCs for tradeshow demonstrations.
