I recently updated my Fixity app to 1.2 and have been experimenting with running Fixity reports on my digital archives directories. When running a report on the largest directory, Fixity runs for days. At times the scan appears to slow to a crawl. At some point during the scan it appears that the scanning process starts over without producing a report. The longest I let this go on was 5 days before closing the application. I have had success running reports on smaller directories.
A little information:
Size of directory: 49.4 GB (2,341 folders and 38,791 files)
OS: Windows 10
Fixity version: 1.2
Have other users encountered this issue in 1.2? Has anyone figured out a way to speed up the report? I previously used version 0.5 and did not encounter the reports “looping” like this on the large directory. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
