Description

Port the WattNode desktop client to Linux. Currently Windows-only (PyInstaller + Inno Setup).

Requirements

• Working Linux build of WattNode GUI (tkinter-based)
• Packaging: AppImage or .deb — single-file distribution preferred
• GPU detection: NVIDIA GPU detection via nvidia-smi on Linux
• All existing features working:
  • Node registration and heartbeat
  • Job claiming and completion
  • Inference tab (distributed compute setup wizard)
  • Wallet configuration
  • Live log display
• Build script: Reproducible build process documented
• Tested on: Ubuntu 22.04+ or equivalent
• README with install instructions and minimum requirements

Context

Linux support is critical for WSI — most GPU nodes run Linux. This directly enables the distributed inference network.
