netcdf to daily gridmet parameters creates empty raster

The netcdf format of the gridmet data download (e.g., pr_2017.nc) has changed, and the resulting read-in of the daily data during e.g., gridmet_daily_ppt.py creates an empty .img file.

I am not able to recreate this issue. While the NetCDF files have changed, it looks like they are just using truncated values (or the NetCDF module is automatically handling the scaling internally) and pymetric is able to read the files correctly. Can you elaborate on what exactly you were running that caused the empty images?
