Today's entry text is lost

I can't reproduce the bug and I don't how it happened, but as much as I remember, I wrote a paragraph, left the app (without closing it) and then after some minutes of using other apps, I closed all the apps including Daily Diary. When I wanted to check what I wrote randomly, I litterly found NOTHING, which as you would feel, extremely disappointing.

I hope you do more tests and focus on the bugs that cause entry loss simply because that's is the app main function.

I am using the latest version of the app and my Android version is 11.

I have precisely this issue, I've only just noticed that several of my recent daily entries have disappeared leaving empty text files which is very distressing. I can't pin down exactly why this happens after I close the app, but for some reason on occasions the text is saved properly.

The only clue is that the app was working fine until my tablet got an update from Android 13 to Android 14 which is when this problem seems to have started.

I should have said I'm using Version 1.4.3 which is the latest on F-Droid.

Further tests suggests this is some sort of bizarre timing issue. If I type some text, defocus the app (press the rh square button), then wait for 5-10 seconds before closing the app the text is saved. If I close the app straight away all text is lost!

Thank you both for the issue, I will have a look into this. May I ask if you are using a the default save folder or one you selected yourself?

I'm using a folder I selected myself, the reason being that Google Android from about 12 onwards has blocked access to the app folders "for my own security"!
