QoL+ Spray Painter : Indifferent to Regular ASA Spray Painter

QoL+ is supposed to improve items, that is why it uses the improved S+ items. But the QoL+ spray painter is not different to the regular ASA spray painter: same range, same paint consumption. Is that supposed to be that way? Why does QoL+ then even have an own spray painter? I expected a long range, and low paint consumption.
