Current place in Place tab doesn't have a thumbnail sometimes

The current place in the Places tab sometimes doesn't have a thumbnail.  We need to figure out why this is happening.  It might be that it just hasn't had a chance to download yet.  The good news is that it seems to eventually get a thumbnail right now.
