Since the Parent Buddy system is content intensive, a careful consideration needs to be put on the challenge related to content translation across multiple countries and languages. In particular, the following requirements needs to be considered: ● content translation can be performed by a designated CMS user (translator), ● most of the content translation should be done outside of CMS via Memsource and Google Translate as the external translation service provider ● a special CMS user (translation manager) uses CMS to create and submit the translation job to the external translation service provider ● a special CMS user (translation manager) uses CMS to pull translated jobs from the external translation service provider ● a special CMS user (translation reviewer) can review the translated jobs (make final edits and accept or reject translation) ● there can be one or more special CMS users (translation reviewers) ● there should be a seamless integration between CMS and Memsource ● support for the following languages: English, Albanian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Kyrgyz, Russian, Montenegrin, Macedonian, Tajik, Russian, Uzbek, Greek, Arabic, Persian/Dari ● given that similar languages are shared across countries but the content will be different, support should be provided for multiple languages within a single country: Bulgaria- Bulgarian, Kyrgyzstan-Kyrgyz, Kyrgyzstan-Russian, Albania-Albanian, North Macedonia- Macedonian, North Macedonia-Albanian, Tajikistan-Tajik, Tajikistan-Russian, Montenegro- Montenegrin, Kosovo-Albanian, Kosovo-Serbian, Uzbekistan-Uzbek, Uzbekistan-Russian, Serbia-Serbian, Greece-Greek, Greece-Arab, Greece-Dari(Persian, Farsi) ● there needs to be a way to review the translated content before publishing using the original language presented in parallel as a reference for review. ● CMS user can review the translated jobs and edit translations for one or more languages. Such a user can view translations in other languages (including original) but cannot edit or delete. The list of languages for a user would be assigned by an administrator. ● Once Serbian translations of the content are ready, they should be available as draft in Montenegrin.
