ALSA SoC VT1613 AC97 codec driver

I wonder if anyone tested kernel linux_imx_3.10.9_1.0.0_alpha with analog audio output? I did and can't get it running. I got this in dmesg and of course no sound output.

fsl-ssi-dai 2028000.ssi: ASoC: 2028000.ssi hw params failed: -22

Seems I will newer get analog audio support in openelec with kernel 3.14.xy :(

Anyone monitoring this repository? What's the point to publish something which doesn't work? Little help would be much appreciated. After all I don't really need this but would make some users happy.

Also don't understand why to use some codec which is totally unsupported in newer kernel versions.
