Probably just needs some package... The CI was not running for awhile due to inactivity in the repo so I'm not sure when/what broke this.

This could be an issue of hyperref being a finicky package and needed to be loaded last (#20 is an attempt to fix that), or that the latex and hyperref versions are not compatible. For example, with LaTeX2e_ <2023-11-01> patch level 1 and hyperref 2024-01-20 v7.01h things seem to compile (attached log and pdf outputs), but with LaTeX2e <2023-11-01> patch level 1 and hyperref 2025-05-20 v7.01m files with hyperref do not seem to compile.

I'm not an Ubuntu user, but I tried this:

dpkg -S etoolbox.sty
dpkg-query: no path found matching pattern *etoolbox.sty*

Next step: figure out what the Ubuntu package name for "texlive-all-the-packages" is, an install that in the CI job...

Fedora:

sudo dnf install 'tex(etoolbox.sty)'

Package "texlive-etoolbox-11:svn56554-80.fc43.noarch" is already installed.

Worst-case, I could port the CI job to Fedora instead of Ubuntu. But that's a bit "me-centric"

For Debian it's texlive-full (https://wiki.debian.org/TeXLive), it should also work on Ubuntu.
