Thanks for the suggestion! Cohere Transcribe does look impressive - the WER numbers are best-in-class.

Good news: you can actually use it today with TypeWhisper via the OpenAI Compatible plugin. The model supports vLLM serving, which exposes an OpenAI-compatible /v1/audio/transcriptions endpoint. So if you run:

vllm serve CohereLabs/cohere-transcribe-03-2026 --trust-remote-code

...you can point the OpenAI Compatible plugin at http://localhost:8000 and it should work.

For a dedicated native plugin (mlx-audio based, similar to our Qwen3 or Granite plugins), I'll keep this on the wishlist. The model also supports mlx-audio, which would be the path for a proper local integration.
