Description
Hi there! 👋
I'm Gerard from Seaside Studios, the developer of the "All In 1" asset series on the Unity Asset Store. This message is about All In 1 Sprite Shader.
It looks like the following folder(s) in this public repository contain a copy of my asset(s):
https://github.com/TwinkleStarDust/GraduationDesign_RaceGame/tree/main/Assets/Plugins/AllIn1SpriteShader
This is nothing personal — this message was sent through an automated script to hundreds of repos. I know this was most likely unintentional (e.g., forgetting to .gitignore the Plugins folder before pushing). It happens to everyone and I don't want to cause any trouble!
Why this matters: Pirate websites actively scrape public GitHub repositories to find and redistribute paid Unity assets. Even if your repo is a small personal or game jam project, having these files public means they can end up on shady download sites, which directly hurts indie developers like me. That's the only reason I'm reaching out.
What I'd ask: Could you please either:
- 🔒 Make this repository private, or
- 🗑️ Remove the folder(s) listed above and push the change
No rush at all. I just wanted to give you a heads up because I've also filed a DMCA notice with GitHub (it's a bulk filing covering hundreds of repos — again, nothing personal). That notice will take a few weeks to process. If you handle it before then, you can simply ignore that email when it arrives.
If you'd like to keep using the asset, it's available here: https://assetstore.unity.com/publishers/42878
Thanks for understanding, and happy coding! 🎮
