And that's prone to failure, causing some distros to have unneeded files, due to the fez policy of using everything in the directory that has not been .gitignored (as reported here. This, due to the fact that you also have to git tag manually as a best practice, makes me propose a git hook that makes the uploading, correctly calling make dist, when you tag. It would have to be installed manually in .git/hooks, but just once. Would that be OK?
