Mastodon clients to access Twitter. Is this function working?

Hi, I couldn't find any code that uses the Mastodon API to work with Twitter API. I only found a bridge_config.json file where I added the original Twitter API. I'm also confused about the URLs section in the JSON. I am very confused with this repo. Could you please provide a simple step-by-step guide or a simple explanation so that I can implement this?
