OTOH, how much does anyone really care about this?
We already have:

Overall in active systems: 0.00 of 0.00 mi -.--%
Overall in active+preview systems: 17.20 of 807.22 mi (2.13%)
Overall by region: (each line reports active only then active+preview)
NH: 0.00 of 0.00 mi -.--%, 17.20 of 391.95 mi (4.39%)

Could easily skip the 1st line as suggested in the OP.
The last line is probably a bit much to bother with.
