Configuration Option Development

Looking at the configuration code and files, it looks that the majority of the choices are user configurations, however some are package maintainer options that could be transformed into gsettings. HexChat user preferences should be loaded asynchronously when the application is activated, whereas gsettings should be loaded at startup and bound/mapped to settings.
